My Plan

So I mentioned the other day about making a new plan for myself using short term sprints. Well I'll do this

2 week sprint (2 meal cheats allowed during this time) - count calories, limit gluten
3 days FREE - no calorie counting and no restrictions
2 day Cleanse - no calorie counting, no gluten, no dairy (except greek yogurt), no sugar

I will workout doing 2 times per week resistance training, 3 times per week pilates and yoga combos & 1 time per week Power Yoga!!!

So since yesterday was Cinco de Mayo and I went out with my dinner club and kind of binged a little (and drank 1/2 a pitcher of margaritas) I decided to make the next two days my cleanse so that's what I'm doing today!!

So far I've had 6 oz. of greek yogurt, 3/4 c. red grapes, 1/3 c. walnuts & 2 protein shakes (before and after RT workout). I am about to eat some lunch, probably chicken and some baby spinach salad.

I'll post my food for the cleanse days so you can see what I'm doing.

So I did a post this morning basically renewing myself in this challenge. And I didn't want to not follow thru today so here's my food for today; the good, bad and ugly, and believe me there was an ugly part today.

1 6 oz. Fage 0% Greek yogurt; 1 5.3 oz. Fage Greek yogurt with honey; 1 c. red grapes; 1 c. grapefruit
2 hot dogs on white bread; 1/2 serving sour cream and onion chips; small piece of chocolate & strawberry cake (bad)
BIG UGLY - A huge piece of carrot cake (I fell apart when I found out schools will be closed again tomorrow)
3 oz. chicken cooked in soy sauce & pineapple; 1/2 c. brown rice; 1 c. green beans

Water: 2 Liters

20 min. Windsor Pilates video
Yoga Practice - Twists

I made a point today to put down all my thoughts in my notebook today. The highlights are basically how I felt this morning when I did my post but after that carrot cake I could have beaten myself. I should have done something...ANYTHING but eat that cake. I seriously felt sick afterwards and still kind of do. After I ate the cake, I promptly thru the rest of it away!!! I have been eating out of my pantry for a few weeks now. I am getting down to the bare bottom now which is good and I can start fresh again with good foods. I think I have also finally resolved to not buy any snack items for the household until at least summer and hopefully longer. I will send them $.50 to school each day and they can either buy chips or ice cream with it and that is their snack. If my hubs wants stuff he can go to the store to buy it. I always feel bad about this like I should give them what they want but honestly a mother who isn't grumpy because of her weight or stressed due to temptations or sugar overloads is better than what they got now, right?

I can tell this is going to be tough. I go to the store again on Thursday, wish me luck!!!

Obsessive

The last few weeks have been really busy for me and all were leading up to this past Saturday where I had my daughter's 8th birthday party at a horse barn, our Girl Scout Troop Sock Hop and a sleepover afterwards. I also made skirts for all the girls and myself (8 total) as well as did all kinds of decorative stuff for the birthday party. Aren't you tired just reading about my Saturday?

So now I have nothing really going on which I am SO thankful for!!!

But this means I really have to get on track cause there isn't much time left in this challenge. Though I've done ok, I want to do better. I need to do more posts here and that is my goal until challenge end. To blog every other day in my F2F blog.

This blog title is what's on my mind today. There is a balance between just willy nilly losing weight and being obsessive in a good way. The good way can help drive you and make you push harder. The bad way can obviously leave you feeling like a failure and defeated. I often fall into the bad category but I need to work on being obsessive for the good. I realized this weekend I can only be driven in the short term so I am working on a plan for that which I'll share with you once I've mapped it out. It will basically entail a fitness & nutrition sprint with a few days off then a cleanse.

I hope everyone is doing well and I'm sorry for being so crazy and away for too long. I'm back now and gonna give you everything I got these last few weeks of the challenge.

New Look

So today I am 32 and Monday I got a new haircut. Not 100% sold on it yet but liking it more and more.


I have a love/hate relationship with long hair so we'll see how this goes. When I went in for the cut I told her to chop it off and she said no. I trust her completely and she has never steered me wrong so we're gonna give it a shot. I do like my little side bang.

I promise not to eat too much cake today, that is if I get one.

How to Eat for Fast Fat Loss!!

I did my post on metabolism this morning then lo and behold my trainer did a blog post on how to eat for fast fat loss. I have met Holly in person, actually spent the night at her house and did karaoke with her. She is the real deal and an amazing woman and fitness trainer, she kicks some serious BUTT!!! All she put in this post is what I live and die by, well when I'm on track and motivated. I am telling you what she says and tells you to do WORKS and give you RESULTS!!

I promise if you listen to her and do what she says you will see results. When I listen I get results, I just get down and dejected and don't listen which is why I'm in the competition. I have to show my weight each week and do crazy videos where you see my big butt. This challenge has definitely shoved me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to keep going.

The Power of Metabolism

What up peeps?!

So I was feeling a little down this weekend cause I had several days of eating not so supportive. And then this weekend I worked on getting back on track. I didn't get in workouts like I'd hoped but I did make my house sugar-free again. Yeah!!!! We have also been cleaning out our pantry and freezer (eating up everything to begin restocking) so we've had some interesting meals. Like pork tenderloin chili and smoked turkey sausage and peppers, I loved them both. This week will be more of the same. I need to get into the freezer and pantry today to plan out our meals for the next few days. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Also, today is Monday and we weigh in via video. I have to say I am totally rocking this challenge, look out hookas!! I am down again, not by huge amounts but I'm down. I feel all of this comes from fueling my metabolism. While I haven't been working out, I have been active and I have been constantly (every 2-3 hours) fueling my body by eating and not letting myself get hungry.  I am not starving myself nor am I eating too few calories. I've been down that road before and all the weight came back and then some, grrrrr. I am eating about 1700-1800 calories and focusing on protein and produce. I do allow non-produce carbs though I do try to limit them to a few times per week. I load up on the veggies and meat. I also do eat sweets and what not but do try to limit them as well.

And on the workout front when I do get them in I constantly challenge myself including weights. I use 10, 15 and 20 lb. weights for various exercises. I believe in increasing weights to push your muscles, cause your muscles are your metabolism. Lots of reps at low weights will not make your muscles work hard.

I can feel my motivation waning so I feel I need to talk more about what I'm doing to keep me motivated.



I am planning on doing the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout today and will video it and if I can figure out MS Movie Maker then you'll see some of it, I think it'll be um...fun? Yea, Fun!!! See, working on the motivation!!
